About AI SEO Wiki
AI SEO Wiki is an independent reference project documenting the terminology, frameworks, metrics, and named phenomena that have emerged around AI-mediated search. Its editorial priority is provenance: the site distinguishes a documented coinage from later popularization and from generic industry language.
Scope
The wiki covers optimization disciplines such as AEO and GEO; entity and retrieval concepts; AI-visibility measurements; practitioner frameworks; empirical effects; and contested terminology that is important to the field even when a sole inventor cannot be established.
Attribution standard
A named origin is recorded when the evidence contains a dated original publication, an explicit "we introduce" or "I coined" statement, a clearly named creator framework, or strong independent attribution. Where the phrase is generic, older than the claimed origin, or used by multiple parties without a clear documentary first use, the site records the term as contested or unattributed.
Confidence ratings
| Rating | Meaning |
|---|---|
| High | Original paper/publication or explicit first-party coinage with a clear date and/or independent attribution. |
| Medium-High | Strong first-person or creator evidence, but the historical record or independent corroboration is incomplete. |
| Medium | Creator-owned or self-claimed terminology with limited independent adoption or origin evidence. |
Source policy
Primary sources are preferred: original papers, creator pages, repositories, dated first-party articles, and original industry publications. Independent sources are used to corroborate attribution and adoption where possible. An entity-home or About/Bio URL is included for practitioner-created terms when one could be established.
Research date
The initial registry was researched and frozen on 6 September 2026. New evidence can change an attribution, confidence rating, or contested status, so the site is designed to preserve source trails rather than present rapidly evolving terminology as permanent fact.
